This pattern uses one strand of variegated yarn (Sample knit in Yarn BeeAuthentic Hand-Dyed in”Blue Vapor”) and US 1 (2.25mm) circular needles. However, you can knit with a different sock yarn, as long as the gauge matches. I recommend knitting socks with 100% wool or a wool/nylon blend to keep structure and durability to your finished socks. To make your socks taller or shorter, you can add or decrease the number of rows on your leg.
