Ep 004: How to Find Your Mom Knitting Style

Sharing is caring!

Mama Llama Podcast episode 004

Raise your hand if you’re ready for longer sweaters to come back in style. Me!

I’ve been seeing the cutest sweaters pop up on Ravelry lately, only to quickly discover they’re actually crop tops.

I just want to knit things that are comfy, look cute, and can survive my mom life days.

I’m not wearing crop tops, leather leggings, and big balloon tops that need to adjusted all day long!

Mama, our clothes and our knitting have to work for us. There’s no room in a mom’s day for worrying about bending over to play Frozen Legos on the floor and wondering if everything’s covered up!

Knit the things you’ll actually wear

If you’re going to put time and energy into knitting, you want it to be something that you’ll actually wear!

Everyone obviously has a different body type, but overall there are styles that just don’t cut it in everyday mom life!

Don’t you want to be present in building car tracks around the living room with your kids?

So while designers are releasing short tops right now, you can of course add on stitches. But sometimes you just want to buy a pattern and have it turn out right without adding on a bunch of extra math, right?!

Click play on today’s video to learn how to know ahead of time which patterns are going to really going to stand up to everyday mom life.
