What I’m wearing
Today I’m wearing my Snow Globe Infinity Scarf, a crochet pattern designed by me.
I’ve been sitting on this unpublished pattern for about four years!
But I finally sat down to get the full pattern written and published on Ravelry, Etsy, and right here on my website!
I used Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick in the color “Starlight” which is a gorgeous cream with gold metallic woven in.
What I’m knitting
Today I’m sharing progress on my Vanilla Socks that I’m knitting for my husband. I’m using the pattern by The Crazy Sock Lady and Patons Kroy Socks in Flax.
I also cast on a pair of Country Cabin Socks by This Yellow Farmhouse. I’m using Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Worsted in Aurora Heather. These are some really cozy knit socks that I’m excited to put into rotation.
A lot of my cozy knit socks have been getting pulls in them from our unfinished hardwood floor. So I’ve been wearing a combination of wool socks and slippers which is protecting my socks and keeping my feet extra warm!
I have several projects with little or no progress on them that are in time out. I’m excited to share those with you once I pick them up again!
New yarn and cozy things
- “The Long Winter” by Laura Ingalls Wilder
We’re reading this chapter book about winter on the prairie in our homeschool. With below zero temperatures in northern Illinois this week, it’s very timely! I’m also beyond impressed with Ma’s ability to cook from scratch even on the mornings that they wake up with frost inside of their shanty!
