Is this horrifying, yes or no?

You, Mama Llama, find the cutest cable knit sweater pattern for your 18 month old.

You find some really cute, on sale yarn, and pour your free time into knitting for your toddler.

And when you finally go to bind off this glorious sweater, and try it on said 18 month old, she pitches a fit.

She hits an octave you didn’t even know existed.

And instead of setting up a cute photoshoot to share on Facebook, you’re desperately trying to wrangle the toddler and carefully peel off the delicate sweater as they rip and rage about.

Whew!

That was exhausting. But I’ve been there.

I’m a mom of four littles under 6, and instead of giving up on knitting for picky kids, I’ve learned a few tips and tricks to make the most loved, most worn mom-made knits for kids.

Because, luckily, we’re only two steps away from knitting for picky kids in the most successful way.
