4 Wool of the Andes Light Neutrals For Cabin Socks

Sharing is caring!

When looking for yarn to knit a pair of cable knit cabin socks, my go to choice is a Wool of the Andes Worsted light neutral. There is something so simple and sweet about knitting cabin socks in a light yarn. I love when you can see all the cables pop, and a light neutral yarn lets that happen. It’s also so much easier to learn to knit socks on light yarn. Here are 4 of my absolute favorite Wool of the Andes Worsted light neutrals:

Mink Heather

This light, sandy brown will be perfect for a pair of beachy cabin socks for summer! I would even shorten the leg of a cable knit cabin sock with this driftwood colored yarn. Watch my tutorial for a shortie cabin sock here.

Crane Heather

It’s hard to find a cool neutral for those of us that have cool skin tones, but this is it! This yarn has depth, with light cream, beige, camel, and dusty light brown sprinkled throughout.

Down Heather

For a rustic and traditional light neutral, try this one on your cables! Down Heather is a warm creamy color, but it’s spun with dark brown for texture. It looks amazing on classic cable knit cabin socks.

Picket Fence Heather

Another very classic tweed, Picket Fence Heather is a great Wool of the Andes light neutral to have on hand. The creamy beige is a great color to wear through all the seasons, from spring back to winter.

Wool of the Andes Worsted light neutrals always serve cable knit cabin socks well.

The soft quality yarn really shines a light on the cables, making it a joy to knit.

Remember to take your time to knit. Instead of always knitting in stolen moments on the go, really make a moment out of knitting. Light a candle, listen to an audiobook, knit in nature, and practice some calming breaths. You’ll enjoy every stitch.
