Worsted Weight Knit Socks: Simple Cabin Socks Knitting Pattern

Sharing is caring!

The Simple Cabin Socks are easy to knit worsted weight knit socks. Knit cuff down in beginner-friendly stockinette stitch, these cabin socks have a heel flap and gusset and are closed at the toe with a kitchener stitch.

Skill level and materials for these Simple worsted weight knit socks

The Simple Cabin Socks Knitting Pattern is an easy level knitting pattern and the knowledge needed to complete them is of gauge, sizing, knitting a heel flap and gusset, using circular needles, and kitchener stitch.

Then, the toes are finished with the kitchener stitch, and the heel is worked with a heel flap and gusset. Although I chose to knit with 9″ circulars and switch to DPN’s for the heel and toe, you can use another method you find most comfortable.

To work the Simple Cabin Socks, you will need approximately 200 yards total of worsted weight yarn. So, these worsted weight knit socks use size US 7 (4.5 mm) circular knitting needles and double pointed needles to work the heels and toes.
